Anglo-Asian stand-up comedian Alex Maple gigs throughout London and the UK using intelligent one-liners, jokes and word play as well as acute observations drawn from his English-Islamic upbringing.

He also began performing paid 20 minute slots within eight months of starting stand-up and is a finalist in this year’s Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition.

Alex’s debut Edinburgh show in 2009 is about the Public Relations industry and is entitled ‘Alex Maple’s Press Release’.

Alex was also one half of the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Show 'Ahir Shah & Alex Maple: One Boy. One Man. Two Comedians' which featured stand-up and filmed sketches from the pair. The show ran for 23 dates at the Royal College of Surgeons and received four and three star reviews.
