Henry Widdicombe

Comedian

Henry Widdicombe

Henry is a “grocery-based comedian” peddling his wares in South Wales, The Borders and beyond. Do with him what you will. His supermarket stylings have been going down a treat since he started voicing them at gigs in 2008. After only 8 gigs he was asked to take part in the Welsh comedy showcase South by South Wales at Edinburgh Festival 08 (produced by Good Sense Of Humour), and become a regular feature on the Rhod Gilbert Saturday Morning Show on Radio Wales. He is also 1/9 of sketch group Superclump.

Henry runs gigs in Brecon, Hay-On-Wye, Ebbw Vale, Swansea and at the Green Man Festival.

Henry has written for Parsons and Naylor’s pull out sections on Radio 2, was a principal writer and script editor for Newsrevue in 2005, and has a script in development with The Comedy Unit (written with his “funny brother” Josh Widdicombe).

Henry has gigged at the Gilded Balloon as part of South by South Wales, Cardiff University, Swansea Grand Theatre, Glamorgan University, Jesters Bristol, Swansea University, Up The Creek Sunday Special, The Green Man Festival amongst many others.
